Job summary

Murata Viosis in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to translate customer needs into engineering requirements across hardware, software and algorithms. You will lead verification, validation, and risk management while ensuring regulatory compliance and end-to-end traceability.

You will serve as the primary cybersecurity engineering resource, driving threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and post-market cybersecurity activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and strong systems background.
• 7+ years in systems engineering, testing, or product development (5+ years with a Master).
• Experience developing medical devices under IEC 62304 software lifecycle processes.
• Strong experience in system-level requirements development and management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional meetings across engineering disciplines.
• Proven track record in test planning, protocols, and reporting.
• Solid networking knowledge (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, TCP/IP, Ethernet).
• Expertise in cybersecurity engineering including threat modeling and post‑market management.
• Excellent communication skills to influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead system requirements and architecture across hardware, software, and algorithms.
• Plan, execute, and document system verification and validation testing.
• Drive risk management and develop verification tests to show mitigation effectiveness.
• Serve as primary cybersecurity engineering resource across teams.
• Coordinate post-market cybersecurity activities with cross-functional groups.
• Guide root-cause analysis of system nonconformance and drive solutions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Systems Engineers.
• Conduct exploratory testing of released software for early feedback.
• Lead research to support design decisions and defect investigations.
• Collaborate with Technical Operations to set up test, pilot, and commercial instances.
