Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team. You will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability analyses for total system solutions.
You will translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and present your findings at technical reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of science in a STEM discipline with 5 years of engineering or related experience, OR a Master of science in STEM discipline with 3 years of engineering or related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance.
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and Architecture Development
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and system design practices
Responsibilities
- Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability assessments.
- Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications and interface definitions.
- Communicate technical approaches clearly in reviews and boards; develop innovative solutions within schedule and cost constraints
