Job description

Reston, Virginia, United States

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers. We work within the IC to understand their requirements, shape their concepts of operation, and deliver exquisite capability across their problem set. We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers' most pressing national security requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Design, implement, and execute detailed test cases, plans, and procedures based on system requirements and specifications to ensure thorough validation of system functionality and performance.
  • Work collaboratively across hardware and software teams in a fast-paced, quick-reaction design and development environment to comprehensively test products as they move from concept through prototype and into production.
  • Execute hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and end-to-end evaluation of integrated hardware and software, including performance monitoring, test automation, and post-test data analysis.
  • Assess test coverage against established requirements, maintaining clear traceability from requirement to verification evidence.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and test networking devices and system network architectures in support of integration and verification.
  • Define and manage the integrated test strategy and schedule across an entire program - sequencing test events against hardware availability, software drops, and customer milestones, and driving risk to resolution across engineering and program management.
  • Communicate test status, results, and technical risk to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Establish test standards and tooling that scale across programs, and mentor junior engineers in test design and verification rigor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong engineering foundation in a core discipline such as software engineering, hardware design, or FPGA development.
  • 6+ years of experience in testing and verification in support of product design and development.
  • Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, detailed test cases, and rigorous test procedures for integrated hardware and software systems, with proven success in end-to-end systems testing.
  • Experience with software testing methodologies for complex systems and the testing performed at each stage of the development lifecycle, through production and acceptance.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing to verify and validate system requirements.
  • Hands‑on experience troubleshooting, configuring, and testing networking devices, with a working knowledge of core networking concepts.
  • Proven experience with systems engineering and requirements management tools to document systems and test cases and verify requirements by test, plus a willingness to learn next-generation agentic systems engineering tooling for the same.
  • Proven organizational ability and demonstrated ownership of test schedules and multi‑stakeholder test campaigns.
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain at least an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience implementing military standards for qualification and acceptance testing, to include MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, or similar.
  • Proficiency with test automation frameworks and programming languages (Python, MATLAB) for post-test data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience standing up lab environments, test infrastructure, or automated regression pipelines from scratch.
  • Experience supporting field testing, customer demonstrations, or operational evaluations.
