Job summary

Integral Federal, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer III to provide lifecycle systems engineering support for NBCSPG, JBPDS, CBMS Block II, and JSLSCAD programs.

The role requires deep experience in embedded systems, data interfaces, and test execution. Responsibilities include hardware/software integration, tool support, and reverse engineering of embedded systems, with an emphasis on ensuring reliability of sensor processing chains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Ten years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• Experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
• Knowledge of system-of-systems engineering and integration directorate processes.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support and provide subject matter expertise on communication interfaces: RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet, USB, and Discrete I/O signals.
• Support and maintain NBCSPG special tools including the cable validator and Interface Adapter programmers.
• Support data interface adapters providing conversion from serial to Ethernet and protocol translation; establish baseline and interfaces.
• Review legacy NBCSPG systems for obsolescence including software, hardware, and interface issues.
• Support testing of NBCSPG systems.
• Provide SME support in embedded programming for controllers and debugging.
• Reverse engineer electronics and digital signals, and unknown data signals.
• Integrate COTS components, microcontrollers, memory devices, and control devices.
• Assemble basic electronic circuits and program microcontrollers to interact with signals.
• Work with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, and logic analyzers.
• Troubleshoot and repair digital and analog devices.
• Create custom tools for embedded applications and system troubleshooting.
