Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging, a physician-owned radiology practice in Tacoma, WA, seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to design, support, and modernize healthcare infrastructure across a multi-site imaging network.

You will manage VMware, Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, storage, and networking, drive disaster recovery and backup programs, and support PACS/RIS and HL7 workflows. This role partners with radiologists and IT staff to deliver reliable technology solutions.

Qualifications

5+ years in enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience with virtualization, storage, networking, and server administration.
Experience with medical imaging, radiology groups, PACS/RIS, or healthcare IT systems.
Knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, Active Directory, storage, and DR.
Experience with HIPAA compliance and healthcare security practices.
Ability to lead initiatives and mentor colleagues.

Responsibilities

Design, manage, and support enterprise servers, virtualization, storage, networking, and collaboration systems.
Lead infrastructure resiliency, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity.
Support imaging technologies and integrations (PACS/RIS, HL7, radiology workflows).
Manage VMware, Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, SAN/NAS, AD, and Cisco collaboration tech.
Drive automation, modernization, and operational improvements.
Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, vendors, and IT teams.
