Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Threat Discrimination to develop Missile Defense System capabilities for identifying lethal objects. You will provide systems technical analysis to support MDA’s Discrimination Directorate and contribute to multi-disciplinary efforts.

Required: active Secret clearance, 10+ years of experience, and a degree in Engineering or related field; Top Secret/SCI eligibility is a plus.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Systems Engineer for Threat Discrimination to join our team! In this role you will provide systems technical analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities for the identification of lethal objects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work within a multi-discipline,multi-source/industryteam
• Provide technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDA’s Counter- Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate
• Develop and formulate options for improving the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum Active Secret clearance required
• Ability to quickly qualify for an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance if you do not possess one
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline specifically related to area of specialty and an Advanced degree may be preferred at this level
• 10+ years of related professional experience
• Expertise in radar signal processing, scheduling, object classification and electronic protection
• Experience in systems engineering analysis and process management to include development and review of engineering requirements, concepts of operations, and integrated schedules
• Experience in conducting technical performance assessments and resulting risk analysis and mitigation development
• Experience in electronic attack/protection modeling development to support analysis and requirements development
• Experience in developing technology maturation plans to transfer potential technologies to program offices

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Master's Degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 12 years of experience
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
• Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes
• Program management certification (DAU, PMP, etc.)
• Knowledge of Missile Defense fundamentals to include radar limitations
• Knowledge of electro-optic fundamentals
• Knowledge of radar hardware and design

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
