Job summary

Parsons is seeking an AEGIS Based Defense Systems Engineer in the United States to join a mission‑driven team delivering missile defense capabilities to the Fleet.

You will coordinate across development, prototyping, production and sustainment to ensure timely deployment and integration of NGMD advancements. Candidates must have US citizenship with an active Secret clearance and an engineering degree with 5+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with active Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of related professional experience in defense systems.
• Experience with missile systems and defense programs is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work between Next Generation Missile Defense and program councils.
• Maintain and execute cohesive strategy integrating NGMD with munitions production.
• Incorporate new capabilities into production for warfighter delivery.
• Oversee cross-functional teams from development to sustainment.
• Align technical roadmaps for NGMD integration.
• Drive disruptive technologies and ensure unified architecture.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented AEGIS Based Defense Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet. You will also be part of a team of some of the best and brightest Engineers and scientists our country has to offer.

What You Will Be Doing With US:

• Work between Next Generation Missile Defense and the Munitions Acceleration Council
• Responsible for maintaining and executing the cohesive strategy that integrates NGMD advancements with accelerated munitions production
• Ensure as new capabilities and technologies become available, they are quickly incorporated into ongoing production for delivery to the warfighter
• Provide direct oversight and facilitate cross functional collaboration among program teams from development and prototyping to production and sustainment
• Aligning technical roadmap for NGMD integration
• Responsible for the introduction of disruptive technologies, ensuring a unified architectural approach, resolving system integration challenges and transitioning to production

What We Need from You:

• US Citizenship with Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty(NOTE: Newly-hired PhD graduates are typically hired into this level.)
• 5+ years of related professional experience
• Mastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or Teams
• Missile System Experience

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Field
• 7+ Years experience
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
• Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
• Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
