Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks a Sr Systems Engineer to join our team. You will develop a 6DOF physics-based missile trajectory simulation used across the FBM program and write/modify software to support analyses.

You will verify against legacy simulations and post-flight data, evaluate performance in complex scenarios, present demos to internal teams and customer representatives, and support LM personnel and external FBM contractors in the simulation user base.

Qualifications

• Experience as Systems Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Software Engineer, or GNC Engineer.
• Interest in flight dynamics, trajectories, physics-based modeling, and time-domain simulations.
• Active/Valid Secret Security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 6DOF physics-based missile trajectory simulation used across the FBM program.
• Write/modify software to support and perform specific analysis.
• Perform verification and validation of new sim against legacy sim and post-flight data.
• Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios/environments and verify system/subsystem requirements.
• Create technical memos and present simulation demos to internal engineering teams, customer reps, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings.
• Support simulation’s user base, working groups, for LM personnel and various non-LM FBM contractors.
