CareFirst, Inc. seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide executive-level technical support to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team. This role involves maintaining systems' integrity through proactive issue resolution, implementing cybersecurity practices, and managing technology procurement.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or relevant experience. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are required. The position requires travel and offers a salary range of $98,784 - $196,196, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
PURPOSE: Serve onsite as the primary point of contact for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, providing white glove executive-level technical support and coordinating with IT resources to ensure rapid issue resolution. Maintain the stability, integrity, and performance of the organization's information systems by monitoring, supporting, and optimizing networked environments. Assess system architecture and limitations, design scalable solutions and disaster recovery procedures, and ensure hardware and software compatibility aligned with business needs.
Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience: 5 years software, hardware and/or systems engineering related experience.
Estimate amount: 3 to 5 times a week throughout the local Marland and DC area.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. This compensation range is specific and considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, and market and business consideration. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances, including but not limited to experience, internal equity, and location.
