Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation for total systems. Roles include requirements development, architecture decomposition, testing philosophies, and risk management.

The ideal candidate will drive agile analysis, RF chain and radar signal processing work, and mentor a team of engineers across lab and field environments at WPAFB, Ohio.

Qualifications

• 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years with Masters; 10 years with PhD; or 19 years with HS diploma.
• Significant experience with EW technologies, radar design, and/or signals analysis.
• Outstanding ability to communicate with stakeholders in remote locations.
• Experience defining requirements with technical experts to advance capability development.
• Proven risk identification and mitigation in programs.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the System Engineering life cycle from requirements to verification.
• Perform architecture development, system analyses, and test planning.
• Conduct trade studies and interface definition studies.
• Lead technical teams and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate across domains to ensure timely, cost-aware delivery.
