Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking an FPGA Engineer for the Warfare Systems group in Dayton, Ohio, stationed at WPAFB. You will design, implement, and optimize FPGA-based solutions supporting radar and electronic warfare systems, with emphasis on signal processing and verification.

The role requires experience in RF analysis, system performance assessment, and hands-on lab work. Candidates should be ready for travel and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Position requires interest in either Radar or Electronic Warfare System design and/or testing.
• Tasking includes RF chain analysis and radar system performance analysis, as well as all aspects of test execution.
• Interest in EW and Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Sensor System Integration and Test, and Electronic Warfare and Radar Performance Analysis Tools such as MATLAB is required.
• Hands-on test, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills in algorithms, software, hardware, and networking.
• Support technical publications in developing for customer releases test planning, test procedures, and test reports.
• Support technical and functional leadership through the identification of risk.
• Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time. Deployment times will vary and typically last between two and three weeks.
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able and willing to work outside in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities
