Job summary

RTX’s Naval Airborne Systems in Plano, Texas, seeks a Senior System Engineer to model EO/IR sensor mode performance and develop algorithms for cutting-edge processing platforms. This on-site role requires a strong background in EO/IR systems and software development.

You will collaborate with hardware and system teams, analyze performance, run trade studies, and present results to customers. A U.S. Top Secret clearance and citizenship are required, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in STEM with 5+ years in optical design or EO/IR systems.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills; MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• Eligibility to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Leverage software to develop and implement new mode algorithms for EO/IR processing.
• Performance analysis, modeling, trade studies, and data analysis for complex systems.
• Interface with team lead, team members, and related engineers.
• Conduct and/or participate in customer/program presentations.
• Provide task progress updates and work products to the team lead.
