Northrop Grumman is seeking an Environments Capability Lead Sr. Principal Systems Engineer (level 4) to join the Sentinel program, working on requirements, architecture, interfaces, and MBSE for the ground segment.

You will lead a small team, develop artifacts, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure traceability and optimal system performance. This role requires US citizenship and a Secret clearance, with 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD.
• US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
• 2+ years experience with MBSE tools and model-based engineering.
• Experience with C2, security, NC3, or related defense systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities involving requirements definition, allocation, and traceability for Sentinel ground segment.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture and integration requirements are met.
• Advise on MBSE best practices to enhance system performance.
