Job summary

Swift is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer in Herndon, VA to lead production‑grade enterprise solutions. The role involves zero-doubt security, multi-domain integration, and robust cloud and on‑prem infrastructure across Linux, VMware, and AWS.

The candidate will maintain production environments, design architectures, and support accreditation processes for government/IC programs. US citizenship and TS/SCI with Polygraph are required.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in systems engineering, integration, and operations for government/IC programs.
• Linux server administration (CentOS 7, Ubuntu) and Windows environments.
• VMware/vSphere virtualization expertise.
• AWS cloud services (VPC, EC2, S3) in enterprise/government contexts.
• Cisco ISE and CA infrastructure experience; certificate management.
• SPLUNK for real-time data analysis and monitoring.
• Wireless/mobile device management and enterprise endpoint security.
• Able to produce technical docs, diagrams, and architecture presentations.
• Experience with RMF/ICD 503 accreditation; US citizenship and TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering from prototype to production-grade enterprise solutions.
• Test, integrate, and validate hardware and software for multi-domain architectures.
• Maintain production environments; patching, upgrades, and configuration updates.
• Create and maintain system architecture diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
• Design, build, and support Linux server infrastructure and virtualized environments.
• Administer server environments using VMware and related technologies.
• Manage MariaDB databases and backend systems.
• Support system accreditation and ensure sponsor security/compliance requirements.
