Job summary

NV5 Geospatial is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple sites in the Portland area. You will provide expert guidance, mentor Tier 1/2 staff, and drive the operational lifecycle of IT solutions and services.

The role requires deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, scripting, and security standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Windows-based enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Windows Server, Hyper-V.
• Strong design skills for enterprise class networking, storage, and server infrastructure.
• Scripting/automation experience using Bash or Python; PowerShell or Perl preferred.
• Expert knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and enterprise DNS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert level support and design of Enterprise Windows Server solutions.
• Lead and mentor Tier 1/2 staff; participate in incident and project management.
• Architect, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems processes and procedures.
• Ensure security policies and control standards are followed across infrastructure.
