Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a Systems Engineer to support advanced communications solutions for government and defense programs across the full lifecycle. You will translate mission needs into scalable system solutions and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure technical alignment and successful program execution.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in aerospace/defense or space environments, strong requirements management, MBSE familiarity, and proven collaboration and communication skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of systems engineering experience in aerospace/defense or space environments.
• Experience supporting government, defense, space, or mission-critical programs.
• Familiarity with MBSE, requirements management, and system modeling practices.

Responsibilities

• Support system-level budgets including power, data, performance and metrics.
• Define and maintain system requirements with full traceability.
• Support verification, validation, and lifecycle activities.
• Develop concepts of operations and interface documentation.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and subsystem teams for alignment.
• Assist in design reviews, technical presentations, and documentation.
