Job summary

Advanced Acoustic Concepts, LLC, a Thales Defense & Security Inc. subsidiary, seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems through the life cycle in the undersea warfare domain.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years' experience, and leadership ability; embedded systems expertise is highly preferred. Onsite Great River, NY with competitive benefits and a 9/80 work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Ability to lead a technical group independently
• Demonstrated proficiency and experience with embedded systems
• Electrical and/or mechanical engineering knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering technical activities to completion on time and within budget
• May lead a team of engineers to complete engineering projects successfully
• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
• Review customer specifications and requirements and develop designs to support them
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
• Lead and direct the work of others as assigned
• Communicate clearly with other personnel and the customer
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission and values of the organization
