Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Control-M administration and workload orchestration. You will design, implement, and modernize secure scheduling across on‑prem and CoLo environments, while ensuring ITSM alignment and robust automation.

You will lead complex engineering projects, contribute to API-driven integrations, and mentor staff on Control-M tools and enterprise scheduling best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 6-9+ years of IT engineering, infrastructure operations, or workload automation experience.
• Strong Control-M administration knowledge including server/agent install and config.
• Experience with Control-M orchestration across multi-environment deployments.
• Hands-on Linux/Unix and Windows Server administration.
• Bash and PowerShell scripting proficiency.
• SQL skills with PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, firewall).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Control-M Servers and Agents across sites.
• Design and maintain job scheduling workflows and security configurations.
• Manage Control-M Configuration Manager and user management.
• Conduct health checks and ensure security and enterprise standards.
• Develop testing strategies and deployment plans for changes.
• Troubleshoot complex scheduling infrastructure issues.
• Perform ITSM-based change and problem management.
• Provide on-call support for 24x7 scheduling operations.
• Support Control-M Automation API and jobs-as-code initiatives.
• Lead projects and coordinate technical resources for modernization.
• Train staff on Control-M tools and standards.
• Collaborate across business, infra, security, and operations teams.
