Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to develop requirements for a highly integrated DAL A computing system in line with ARP4754B. You will steer architecture discussions to craft certifiable designs and work closely with Hardware, Software, Safety, and Security teams to ensure compliant integration.

Travel up to 10% may be required. The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 3 years.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with minimum 5 years experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with safety-critical system, hardware, or software development (DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A/B).
• Experience authoring and validating requirements.
• Experience with avionics equipment certification process.
• Experience working with stakeholders to generate concepts of operations and use cases.
• Experience authoring in-depth technical documents.
• Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software.
• Experience developing automated tests utilizing scripting.

• Drive the product architecture discussions, focusing on designing systems that are not just effective but also certifiable.
• Close collaboration with Hardware, Software, Safety, and Security teams.
• 10% travel as needed.

Requirements

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience with safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B).
