Job summary

Shamrock Trading Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage our systems infrastructure for high performance, reliability, and security. You will drive technology changes through automation and advanced communication across the tech organization.

The role emphasizes cloud and on‑prem deployments, IaC, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams and vendors, with on‑call rotations and on-site presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience automating tasks via PowerShell and SCCM.
• Experience patching and administering VMware environments.
• Experience deploying and administering production systems in AWS.
• Strong understanding of data center architecture and Windows Server.
• Experience with Citrix/RemoteApp technology.
• Experience with backup and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud technologies, on‑premises systems, and IaC to ensure uptime and security.
• Lead and execute troubleshooting to resolve escalated technical issues.
• Collaborate with Technology teams and 3rd party vendors.
• Lead technical project planning and ensure milestones are met.
• Provide peer review for change requests against standards.
• Prioritize triage issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Improve operations and stay current with relevant technologies.
• Implement automations to improve engineer and end‑user efficiency.
• Follow policies for access, change, incident, and problem management.
• Contribute to development of technical processes and documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and be onsite as needed.
• Other duties as required.
