Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, develop, and test complex avionics software and hardware integration for unmanned systems. You will support autonomy stacks, flight-wide software/hardware coordination, and scalable solutions in demanding environments.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in network engineering, strong multicast and routing knowledge, Linux expertise, and Python scripting, plus a U.S.

• 8+ years of network engineering experience, with leadership capability.
• Expert multicast (IGMP) and PIM, OSPF/BGP knowledge.
• End-to-end testing of unicast and multicast data flows.
• Strong Linux OS skills.
• US Secret clearance required.

About The Job

Our team develops unmanned aerial systems capable of terminal guidance, long range intelligence collection, precision navigation, and unsupervised autonomy. Anvil, Altius, Ghost, and other developmental UAS platforms are built to operate in remote environments with limited user input, driving requirements for reliability and autonomy. We have developed an autonomy stack that receives user intent, responds to detections processed at the edge, and coordinates flight patterns for groups of assets. We want systems engineers with experience in this field to help design and manage the next generation of Anduril’s flight vehicles. In order to succeed at Anduril, a systems engineer needs to be familiar with simulation and rapid prototyping development to drive complex electro-mechanical and aero-performance design trades, in addition to supporting the engineering product development, production, and sustainment through the entire product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
• Collaborate with the team to define and document software engineering processes and practices, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture, and a passion for systems development, integration, and testing
• 8+ years experience as a network engineer that highlights your ability to execute complex engineering level tasks as an individual and part of a team
• Expert level knowledge of multicast and supporting protocols IGMP & PIM
• Expert level knowledge of unicast and supporting protocols OSPF & BGP
• Experience with end to end testing of both unicast and multicast data flows
• Experience with Quality of Service and CBWFQ
• Advanced knowledge of Linux based operating systems
• Hands on experience with networking design, test and operation of communications systems for Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS)
• Proficiency in test script development using common languages (Python, Matlab etc)
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Must hold a U.S. Secret security clearance
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50% as needed to support various efforts, and excitement to work onsite at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA the majority of the time!

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with End to End RF Integration with, but not limited to, Unmanned Aerial Systems
• Hands on experience with tactical radios

US Salary Range

$180,000-$220,000 USD
