Job summary

Motional, a leading autonomous driving company, is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to design, evaluate, and improve the interactions between autonomy, remote operations, and customer-facing software. You will set and measure performance targets for a Robotaxi service, collaborating across autonomy, simulation, and validation teams to drive robust metrics and safety.

The role emphasizes architecture definition, interface design, data-driven performance evaluation, and continuous integration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems engineering experience with relevant degree.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, requirements, and interfaces for Remote Operation, Fleet Orchestration, and Mapping systems.
• Design interfaces between the Autonomy Stack, Operators, and Customers.
• Evaluate performance using data pipelines, simulation suites, and V&V campaigns.
• Collaborate with systems, software, AI, Remote Operations, simulation, and validation teams.
• Document operations and customer workflows; model complex system interactions.
• Advance technical expertise by evaluating new technologies for autonomous vehicles.
