Job summary

Cirrus Logic in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Audio Amplifiers to define IC solutions for consumer products by translating customer needs into detailed design specifications. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in applications engineering or product definition for audio ICs.
• Experience with low/mid power audio amplifiers, Class D amplifiers, or mixed-signal ICs for portable electronics.
• Ability to travel 2–5 weeks per year for customer and product activities.

Responsibilities

• Define system and performance requirements and architecture for complex IC designs including ADCs, DACs, Class D amplifiers, DSP, and interfaces.
• Gather product requirements and consider packaging, process tech, and trade-offs to guide IC specs.
• Communicate ideas and specifications to internal and external audiences.
• Author and present IC and system level use cases to the cross-functional team.
• Generate system requirements for design, emulation, and test teams.
• Review verification and validation test plans.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews with engineers across disciplines.
• Evaluate ICs in lab with bring‑up, applications, and test teams.
• Perform competitive analysis and participate in industry conferences.
• Travel domestically and internationally ~2–5 weeks/year to support customers.
• Autonomously manage competing customer- and project-related priorities.
