Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a highly-skilled Senior System / Subsystem Engineer to lead the systems engineering effort on a clean sheet airframe design. You will join our R&D team and have the opportunity to broaden your expertise across product families.

Responsibilities include architecture/CONOPS design, requirements development through V&V, and system integration/testing for customer demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Design and maintenance of System Architecture and CONOPS.
• Lead and own the development of system and subsystem requirements and specifications from inception through V&V.
• Lead the development and execution of system and subsystem integration & test activities, including hardware selloff for customer demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintenance of System Architecture and CONOPS
• Lead and own the development of the system and subsystem requirements and specifications from inception through V&V
• Lead the development and execution of system and subsystem integration & test activities, including hardware selloff for customer demonstrations
• Support local and field testing of software and flight hardware testing
• Work full-time on-site in our office in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California
• 10+ years of experience in professional systems engineering for a prime systems integrator.
• Experience in performing developing system / subsystem requirements, performing trade studies, and leading subsystem / component selection.
• Familiarity with DoD standards and handbooks for safety, environments and testing.
