Job summary

Innovative Aerosystems is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead a multidisciplinary aerospace program from concept through production.

You will drive system architecture, interfaces, and verification while coordinating with an external manufacturing partner to meet performance, schedule, and cost targets. The role requires a decade of aerospace engineering leadership, a strong grounding in SE processes, and hands-on experience with MBSE and DOORS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of aerospace engineering with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years leading complex aerospace or aviation development programs.
• Strong understanding of SE processes, requirements management, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
• Experience coordinating with external development, manufacturing, or production partners.
• Proven ability to balance performance, schedule, cost, and risk; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership and systems engineering oversight across the product lifecycle.
• Acts as the primary technical authority for the program and guides major engineering decisions.
• Interfaces with external manufacturing partner to ensure design intent and program objectives.
• Defines system-level requirements, architecture, interfaces, and verification strategies.
• Leads multidisciplinary engineering activities across mechanical, electrical, avionics, software, and tests.
• Manages system integration, testing, validation, and performance assessment.
• Maintains program technical roadmaps and resource plans; mentors team members.
• Supports customer interactions, reviews, and aerospace regulatory awareness.
