Job summary

Innovative Aerosystems is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead a cutting‑edge aerospace program from concept through production. You will own system architecture, requirements management, and risk mitigation while coordinating with external manufacturing partners.

The role demands cross‑disciplinary oversight across mechanical, electrical, avionics, software, and controls disciplines, plus mentorship of the engineering team and active customer engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years aerospace engineering experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• 5+ years in systems engineering leading complex aerospace development programs.
• Experience coordinating with external development, manufacturing, or production partners.
• Strong understanding of SE processes, requirements, architecture, integration, verification, and validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across program lifecycle from requirements through production.
• Serve as primary technical authority guiding major engineering decisions.
• Lead multidisciplinary activities across mechanical, electrical, avionics, software, and controls.
• Define system-level requirements, interfaces, architecture, and verification strategies.
• Coordinate system trade studies, design reviews, and risk management.
• Ensure integration, testing, validation, and performance assessment meet objectives.
• Support customer interactions and program reviews as required.
