Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Maritime Systems Division to contribute MBSE, requirements development, test planning and procedure creation, and algorithm development. The role emphasizes hardware/software integration and strong customer communication.

The engineer will work in a collaborative, Agile environment on the C4I Prototype—deployable, monitored buoy systems with a software defined radio using Rust. Responsibilities vary by project with possible extension to other programs.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance
• Proven experience in all phases of Systems Engineering including requirements, algorithms, integration, test, and modeling
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for an effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
• Possess business and technical vision
• Experience with SysML

Description

The Maritime Systems Division of Leidos is seeking a systems engineer with experience Model Based Systems Engineering, requirements development, test plan and procedure creation, and algorithm development. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of systems engineering processes and experience with hardware/software integration. Customer communication skills are highly desirable.

The candidate should work well in a collaborative environment, understand Agile development methodologies, and seek to identify and champion both technical and process innovations.

The C4I Prototype is a new product that is rapidly maturing and nearing readiness for deployment. The program provides for deployment, monitoring, and communications of a buoy that includes a software defined radio. The implementation in Rust controls the radio in meeting key mission objectives. Tasking and responsibilities will vary depending on project objectives and may extend to programs beyond the C4I Prototype.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Range

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
