Meaningful Work and Personal Impact
As a Systems Engineer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the 480th ISR Wing. You will play a crucial role in enhancing intelligence integration and system interoperability for critical warfighting systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and integration of new DCGS and C4ISR capabilities, from initial concept to operational evaluation, ensuring they meet user requirements and are seamlessly integrated.
- Collaborate with the 480 ISRW Technical Director, cross-functional engineering teams, and key stakeholders to provide strategic recommendations and resolve complex integration challenges.
- Drive the modernization of intelligence systems by assessing the feasibility of new technologies, managing project timelines, and ensuring new capabilities are transitioned under formal configuration management control.
- Utilize project management frameworks (PMBOK, SAFe, ITIL), risk management standards (NIST SP 800-37), and your expertise in systems architecture to deliver robust, mission-ready solutions.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in IT management, a related technical field, or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years of DCGS or ISR architectural experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and ITIL.
- Strong understanding of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Experience with requirements engineering, systems verification and validation, and the NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Ability to lead cross-functional project teams and effectively communicate with senior decision-makers.
- Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
- US Citizenship Required: Yes.
- Role Requirements: Ability to plan, host, and participate in technical meetings, including scrums, technical exchange meetings (TEMs), and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

- Salary Range: $97,968 - $132,250 (based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements; could fall outside this range)
