Job summary

Que Technology Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to lead complex systems engineering initiatives across the full lifecycle. The role directs multidisciplinary teams, manages schedules and resources, and aligns work with program objectives and contractual commitments.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, proven leadership of large-scale programs, and can communicate risk, progress, and performance to government stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 20+ years systems engineering experience.
• Senior-level experience leading complex systems engineering initiatives across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience developing and managing integrated engineering schedules with milestones.
• Ability to translate technical information into executive status reports and briefings.
• Active Top Secret clearance with a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of complex systems engineering initiatives, including schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Lead and synchronize multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage resources and priorities.
• Direct engineering status reports and executive briefings on accomplishments, schedule, risks and issues.
• Establish and oversee performance tracking, project controls and mitigation strategies.
• Serve as senior technical advisor and coordination point with government stakeholders and program management.
• Direct SE activities per ISO/IEC 15288: requirements analysis, architecture, integration, verification, validation, risk management, life cycle planning.
• Lead senior-level reviews and program performance assessments to improve processes and scheduling.

Job description

Que Technology Group, Inc., is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to serve as a senior technical leader directing complex systems engineering initiatives across the full system life cycle. This role leads multidisciplinary engineering efforts, manages integrated project schedules and technical resources, and keeps engineering work aligned with program objectives, contractual requirements, and mission priorities. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with proven leadership of large-scale engineering efforts, and provides program leadership and government stakeholders with clear visibility into engineering performance, risks, and progress.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide strategic oversight of complex systems engineering initiatives, including integrated engineering schedules, critical milestones, and technical deliverables
• Lead and synchronize multidisciplinary engineering teams, managing resource allocation, workload priorities, cross-functional dependencies, and concurrent engineering activities
• Direct the development of engineering status reports and executive-level briefings covering accomplishments, schedule performance, milestones, risks, and critical issues
• Establish and oversee engineering performance tracking and project controls, identifying schedule deviations, resource constraints, and execution risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Serve as senior technical advisor and primary coordination point with program management, engineering leadership, and government representatives
• Direct systems engineering activities in accordance with ISO/IEC 15288, including requirements analysis, architecture development, system integration, verification, validation, risk management, and life cycle planning
• Lead senior-level engineering reviews, technical coordination forums, and program performance assessments, driving continuous improvement in technical processes and scheduling practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or related discipline with at least twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
• An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for the degree.
• Senior-level experience leading complex systems engineering initiatives, including technical oversight, project planning, schedule management, and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Extensive experience developing and managing integrated engineering schedules, tracking critical milestones, and overseeing technical deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Proven ability to turn complex technical information into status reports, executive briefings, and actionable recommendations for senior program leadership and government stakeholders.
• Expertise in identifying and mitigating technical, schedule, and resource risks while keeping engineering activities aligned with program priorities and contractual commitments.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with experience influencing technical decisions and coordinating across engineering, program management, and government organizations.

Security Clearance:

• Active Top Secret clearance with a Polygraph
