Job summary

Vosper Thornycroft Group is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland. This role supports mission-focused customers by developing and maintaining RF processing systems.

The ideal candidate has experience with RF systems and dataflow processes, and must possess an active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 cert. Responsibilities include ensuring operational data flow and coordinating system designs with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Poly required.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant certification (Security+).
• Experience with RF systems and related processes.
• Experience with Confluence/Jira documentation.

Job description

Overview

VTG is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will support a mission-focused customer developing, deploying, and maintaining RF processing systems.

What will you do?

• Experience with RF systems with understanding of analog to digital dataflow and conversion processes.
• Access production Nifi and ensure that inbound data is operational/flowing correctly.
• Data management requests (DMRs) and change (DCRs) submissions.
• Preliminary system design with capability to explain system design to stakeholders.
• Coordinate any data samples needed.
• Prior experience with requesting IPs be added to System Security Plans.
• Ensure there are no backlogs/errors of data. Assist customers with data formatting issues.
• Experience with creating and updating engineering and RF antenna drawings and network diagrams.
• Capable of creating dataflow diagrams documenting the network connections required for system functionality.
• Experience with Confluence/Jira used for communication and documentation.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+).
