Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Systems Architect SME to lead a technical team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's DSMS Enterprise. You will guide modernization, security governance, and performance improvements across DIAMONDS, JADE, and DATS environments, including JADE-to-Azure IL5 cloud migration.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent with 15+ years of related work experience.
• Proven experience as technical lead or chief architect advising on strategy, risk, and resourcing decisions on a large, complex IT program.
• Led and mentored technical teams (systems administrators, infrastructure engineers) in an enterprise environment.
• Deep technical expertise managing mixed OS environments (RHEL and Windows Server) in a DISA STIG-compliant environment.
• Hands-on architectural experience with VMware vSphere and enterprise hardware management.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
• Experience with RMF, continuous monitoring, and POA&M in a DoD environment.
• Ability to present roadmaps and risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders and leaders.
• Active TS/SCI potential; DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification within contract policy timeline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Technical Lead for architecture decisions, risk, and modernization priorities.
• Represent the program in Government reviews and translate risk into cost, schedule, and staffing inputs.
• Mentor a team of systems administrators and infrastructure engineers to meet 99.7% monthly availability.
• Design and maintain DIAMONDS, JADE, and DATS environments, including JADE-to-Azure IL5 migration.
• Enforce security governance with RMF, DISA STIGs, and PKI/AD/GPO administration.
• Support DoW policy deadlines and C2C requirements.
• Collaborate with Network, Cybersecurity, App Development, and DSC teams for cohesive services.
• Plan DR tests achieving RTO/RPO targets and translate stakeholder needs into modernization strategies.
• Maintain DoDAF artifacts and support government design reviews with minimal rework.
• Plan lifecycle management including refresh, end-of-life tracking, and 180-day alerts.
