MANTECH seeks a Senior Systems Architect in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead strategic design, architecture, and implementation of complex systems aligning with business goals and security best practices. The role blends systems engineering, network architecture, and cybersecurity to deliver scalable, secure IT infrastructure.

The candidate will present designs to DoD NSIN ICON leadership, mentor staff, and guide infrastructure efforts requiring HPC, storage, and networking.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and 9+ years of systems experience.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale infrastructures (cloud and on-premises).
• Experience implementing security architectures including firewalls, VPNs, and IAM.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient with virtualization and IaC tools; scripting in Python/Bash.

• Understand and evolve overall architecture and operations within Tools Team.
• Present designs and benefits to leadership (DoD NSIN ICON).
• Mentor project and ICON staff.
• Design distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant systems (cloud and on-prem).
• Integrate security best practices into designs to counter threats.
• Lead infrastructure design for high-performance computing, storage, and networking.
• Create and update system architecture diagrams and runbooks.
