Job summary

Knightscope is looking for a Principal Engineer at their Sunnyvale HQ to lead the technical design and architecture of the Signals platform. This critical role encompasses ownership of microservices architecture, real-time data streaming, and compliance with FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 standards.

You will play a pivotal role in integrating various technologies and ensuring the effectiveness of our autonomous security systems. A competitive salary range of $180,000 to $230,000 is offered, alongside comprehensive benefits including medical and stock options.

Qualifications

• Proven experience architecting large-scale, real-time distributed platforms.
• Deep expertise in microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience integrating video management systems (VMS) and camera APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the end-to-end system architecture for the Signals platform.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical decision-making.
• Ensure the platform meets FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 compliance.
