Job summary

Amatriot Group, LLC seeks a Senior Systems Architect / Independent Technical Evaluator to assess and implement a new mission-critical Navy system in Charleston, SC or San Diego, CA. You will evaluate hardware, Linux, infrastructure automation, and software across the full stack to ensure security, reliability, and doD compliance.

The role requires broad hands-on expertise across hardware, Linux admin, networking, IaC, Go development, and configuration management, with the ability to deliver

Qualifications

• Senior/expert-level experience designing, engineering, administering, or evaluating complex enterprise or mission-critical computing environments.
• Deep understanding of computer hardware architecture and interactions within a full system.
• Hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning and physical server infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge of Linux system administration (RHEL preferred).
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
• Experience with Puppet or similar configuration-management/automation technologies.
• Go (Golang) development experience including Go standard library.
• Strong networking knowledge (routing, switching, services, segmentation, troubleshooting).
• Experience with SDN technologies and DoD/government-classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an independent technical assessor and evaluator for the implementation of a new Navy computer/network/software system.
• Evaluate architecture, configurations, integrations, and approaches across the full technology stack.
• Assess physical hardware, server provisioning, and hardware/software interactions.
• Evaluate infrastructure automation and IaC implementations (Terraform).
• Review configuration management approaches and tools (Puppet).
• Review and evaluate software components developed with Go (Golang).
• Assess network architectures and SDN within secured environments.
• Identify defects, risks, and provide defensible recommendations to stakeholders.
• Communicate findings to Navy leadership and engineers.
