Job summary

World Wide Technology is seeking a Systems Architect III for a DoD enterprise, focusing on installation, migration, and configuration across multiple locations. This full-time, remote-friendly role requires active clearance and strong network expertise.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining LAN/WAN networks, ensuring security, and guiding a team of engineers. Travel up to 90% may be required for DoD engagements.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required for DoD work.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications required.
• Extensive experience with LAN/WAN, wireless, and network security.
• Strong routing, switching, QoS, and firewall knowledge.
• Cloud networking experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficient in PKI, certificates, and MFA.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain complex network systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to engineers.
• Plan for future network capacity and services.
• Ensure security protocols and threat monitoring.
• Document configurations and standards.
• Lead network engineering projects, timelines, budgets.
• Mentor and develop other network engineers.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and procedures.
• Support vendor selection and contract negotiations.
• Research new technologies for network enhancements.
