Job summary

Applied Research Solutions seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to support the C3BM division at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role calls for deep DoD engineering expertise across architecture, systems engineering, and acquisition life cycle, with a focus on agile methods and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities include architecting system-of-systems, driving interoperability, and guiding MITs through operational analysis, architecture definition, risk assessment, and test strategies.

Qualifications

• Must have DoD experience and understanding of DoD acquisition
• Knowledge of cloud-based systems and cost/performance management
• Familiar with agile methods including CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
• Strong communication, briefing, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support across the DoD acquisition life cycle from requirements analysis through disposal
• Align MITs to current and future Air Force needs evaluating architecture and interoperability
• Drive architecture design and migration paths to enable sensor-to-shooter connectivity
• Coordinate with joint/coalition partners to ensure interoperable solutions
• Support test, evaluation, and risk management activities with acquisition communities
• Contribute to program management and technical planning activities
