Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the C3BM division at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA. The role requires extensive DoD acquisition life cycle experience and a TS clearance with SCI eligibility.

The position involves leading system-of-systems architecture activities, aligning with five MITs, and ensuring interoperability across air, space, and joint domains. A strong focus on agile/DevSecOps and cloud capabilities is expected.

Qualifications

• US citizen required.
• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• BA/BS Degree or higher.
• 20+ years of experience with 12+ years DoD related experience.
• Familiar with cloud-based systems and cost/performance projection.
• Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps and DevOps principles.
• Knowledge of DoD DoDI 5000.02/5000.75 and AF roles/relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Lead system of systems architecture design and development for DoD programs.
• Review DoD architecture models; design migration paths to future state.
• Drive interconnectivity between represented PEOs and weapon systems.
• Capture as-is and to-be states driven by MITs with engagement scenarios.
• Engage joint and coalition communities to connect sensors to shooters irrespective of service/coalition.
