Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to join our Plymouth, Minnesota location. The role supports Armament Systems Development and Architecture, focusing on designing and developing system architectures. Part-Time or Full-Time capacity.

The candidate will drive architecture design, define capabilities and requirements, and ensure interfaces and implementation concepts meet customer needs in operational environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or STEM plus 12 years MBSE or Systems Architecture experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• U.S. Citizen; ability to obtain secret DoD clearance.
• Experience with MBSE tools and SysML/UAF.
• Experience with PLM tools and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design and development of system architecture.
• Define key capabilities and performance requirements for the system.
• Establish design constraints aligning with customer specifications.
• Develop a definition of the system’s external interfaces for integration.
• Outline implementation approach and operational concept; ensure usability.
