Description of Task to be Performed:

AnaVation is actively seeking individuals to fill a key role within our team. The SOE III will be responsible for the architecture of the server environment, as well as planning for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of several hundred servers used in a 24/7/365 real-time configuration. The SOE III is expected to develop methodologies for evaluating system health using enterprise tools (e.g., Foreman, Ansible, SaltStack). The role includes leading a team of system, SAN, and network engineers to ensure the security and currency of the operational system, and planning for new data centers as needed. The SOE III shall automate tasks such as server health checks, disk space monitoring, and process management through scripting and monitoring tools.

The SOE III is responsible for the overall health and operation of the system and must respond to emergencies involving critical infrastructure. Troubleshooting with team members to identify issues and implement resolutions is a key part of the role.

This position is on-site in Huntsville, AL, requiring a Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a CI clearance with a polygraph.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum of a 4-year degree in electrical or computer engineering plus 4 years of systems engineering experience, or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal education. All experience must meet or exceed the level described.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, especially deploying services on AWS.
• Experience with digital forensics technologies for law enforcement or intelligence clients.
• Knowledge of Netbox, LibreNMS, Ansible, Jinja2.
