Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Sr Analyst, Systems Analysis in San Jose, CA to collaborate with cross-functional teams on data and payment systems. The role focuses on designing scalable data models, maintaining transaction frameworks, and delivering insightful dashboards to support business decisions.

You will monitor production processes, triage issues, and coordinate with development/ops teams to sustain reliable service. Strong SQL, Python, and visualization skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree with 4 years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of related experience.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (MySQL or Oracle DB).
• Experience developing interactive dashboards with Tableau or Looker.
• Experience designing scalable data models and ETL pipelines.
• Experience performing data analysis and statistical modeling with Python.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage business data & payment system requirements.
• Lead design and maintenance of scalable data models, transaction frameworks, and reporting capabilities.
• Partner with Data Technology teams to ensure data accuracy, quality, and timeliness across platforms.
• Monitor and maintain critical business system processes for reliability.
• Identify, triage, and resolve production issues with development and operations teams.
• Develop performance dashboards and provide analytical insights for decision making.
