Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Staff Systems Analyst to partner with business and technology teams across Global Design and R&D IT. You will translate complex needs into scalable digital solutions for vehicle design, engineering, and research, driving continuous improvement across multiple platforms.

You will lead discovery, requirements, and roadmaps, collaborating with engineering, product management, and cyber security, while ensuring alignment with architecture and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in business systems analysis, product delivery, digital transformation, software development, or related technology disciplines.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience supporting and integrating custom/internal applications beyond COTS/SaaS solutions.
• Familiarity with modern application stacks, including Angular, React, and Python‑based internal applications.
• Experience with Docker, K8s, Databricks, Kafka, Quarkus, PostgresSQL, FastAPI.
• Experience leading medium to large‑scale tech initiatives with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong business process analysis and requirements management capabilities.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or other modern delivery methodologies.
• Ability to work with cloud technologies, SaaS platforms, APIs, or enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC practices.
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and technology needs.
• Lead discovery sessions, requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution definition.
• Translate business requirements into functional specs, user stories, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and security teams to deliver value.
• Evaluate technologies and digital solutions to improve processes and experiences.
• Support full solution lifecycle including planning, design, testing, and deployment.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, and modernization.
• Facilitate prioritization across multiple projects and product teams.
• Analyze workflows, data flows, and system integrations for efficiency.
• Monitor performance, adoption, service health, and user satisfaction.
