Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of Position: Under general supervision, develops, implements, analyzes, maintains, monitors and modifies existing and proposed systems, sub-systems and parallel systems, to effectuate optimization of Corporate operations. Reviews systems and prepares recommendations to facilitate managerial decision making in accordance with Corporate objectives.
Examples Of Typical Tasks
- Conduct studies, surveys and analyses on existing operational systems and make recommendations on the need for modification to obtain increased efficiency and improved quality with cost reduction.
- Discuss recommended plans, designs, proposals and systems. Obtain approval and implement said systems and procedures as a result of project activities.
- Prepare, develop and design procedures and plans for implementation of new and parallel systems and sub-systems.
- Obtain information pertinent to new operational systems and projects and prepare reports and recommendations regarding findings.
- Monitor systems and develop standards of performance, quality of controls and progress of assigned projects.
- Maintain, modify and improve the acquired systems design. On an ongoing basis, develop new systems in accordance with corporate objectives.
- Analyze and develop alternative means of deriving input data and recommend the most feasible and economical method.
- Develop flow charts or diagrams in outline and detail for auditing or analyses.
- Coordinate and direct the workflow and progress of subordinate personnel in relation to project activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- Two years of experience in business, government, hospital, educational or a non‑profit organization in analysis, development and implementation of systems and sub‑systems. Familiarity with EDP applications and data processing programs.
- A Masters Degree in Management, Business Administration or approved related fields from an accredited college or university may be equated to a maximum of one year of related experience.
- A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
