Job Overview
Wellington’s Global Data & Application Support team is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join the Data Support team that provides support to all of Wellington’s critical data platforms. This individual will work closely with data producer and consumer teams regionally and globally ensuring efficient daily operations and controls. Candidates must possess excellent data analytical and communication skills, be self‑motivated, willingness to work in an energetic, fast‑paced and team‑oriented group. The ability to manage multiple priorities is required. This position requires weekend on‑call rotation and special project shift coverage.
Responsibilities
- Focus on data support to ensure the data used by our Investment professionals is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with offshore colleagues and ultimately act as a point of escalation.
- Monitor and maintain data quality across internal systems and databases.
- Respond to data‑related queries and troubleshoot issues from business users.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation tasks.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements.
- Document data processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Support the onboarding of new data sources and system enhancements.
- Ensure quality of product by enforcing high standards in testing and building audit/validation controls.
- Act as an escalation point person for support issues that require detailed analysis and management.
- Provide regular status reporting and issue tracking.
- Be an adaptable, self‑motivated learner with a willingness to take ownership of various projects to support in fast‑paced environment.
- Interact with business professionals at all levels of the organization in a dual capacity of developer and analyst to proactively identify opportunities for new or improved systems to enhance the investment data process.
- Provide hands‑on implementation of process improvements involving internal and external data pipeline, investment process efficiency, and simplifying investor workflow.
- Understand key business challenges/opportunities and be able to originate ideas on how systems can help in areas.
- Interact directly with back‑office business users and other business partners, at all levels of the organization on production issues to resolution and capture enhancement requests.
- Partner with development teams and business analysts to solve more complex problems and help document solutions for future reuse.
- Assist with the integration of AI technologies into GDAS support processes.
- Engage in proactive problem‑solving and continuous improvement of data support methodologies.
- Utilize SQL, prompt engineering, generative AI technologies, Python, and GraphQL to support and enhance data processes.
- Work directly with Corporate Action, Bank Loan Ops, Portfolio Managers, and Traders.
AI & Process Innovation
- Identify use cases where AI and automation can improve incident detection, triage, knowledge reuse, and operational efficiency while maintaining strong controls and compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered tools (e.g., LLMs, copilots, chatbots, workflow automation platforms) in a business or support environment.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and evaluating AI output quality, accuracy, and risk.
- Champion AI as a force multiplier and amplifier for the team—standardizing patterns, integrating AI into day‑to‑day workflows.
- Partner with enterprise AI, data, and technology teams to pilot, scale, and continuously refine AI‑enabled solutions (e.g., intelligent monitoring, summarization of incidents, automated reporting, knowledge base generation).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the financial industry with strong understanding of Fixed Income, Equity, FX and Derivative instruments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering is must.
- Experience with gathering functional requirements, developing specifications, test plans and test executions.
- Experience with design and development.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL or other relational database technologies is desirable.
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development process.
- Experience with business process visualization tools.
- Hands‑on experience with Python (or another programming language) is highly desirable.
- Having a CFA charter or progress toward a CFA charter is a plus.

Benefits
Base salary range for this position is USD90,000–180,000. Salary takes into account factors such as skill sets, role, skills and experience, certifications and education. Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/or Incentives, if eligible. Salary Information
