Job summary

Quantum Sky is searching for a Systems Administrator III to support the 17th TRSS Training Support Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, Texas. This role covers intelligence training applications, systems administration, and lifecycle support across Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.

You will train instructors, manage LMS/IMI tools, and coordinate software/hardware upgrades while ensuring mission readiness. Active DoD Top Secret clearance is required; 5-7 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Enterprise IT architecture.
• Ability to accurately define incidents, problems, and events in trouble ticketing system.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and methods.
• Skills in configuring and utilizing software-based tools.
• Skills in diagnosing connectivity problems.
• Monitoring and optimizing system/server performance.
• Knowledge of measures or indicators of system performance and availability.
• Knowledge of operating system command line tools.
• Skill in troubleshooting system components.
• Skill in operating systems administration.
• Bachelor’s degree desired.
• 5-7 years’ Experience.
• Sec+ Certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as focal point for intelligence training applications or systems.
• Respond to user requests for assistance and provide support for hardware and software malfunctions.
• Identify and resolve common problems to minimize interruptions to training missions.
• Provide training to instructors and FSAs on intelligence applications and OS.
• Install, support, and maintain software/hardware on Windows, Unix, and Linux.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and technical guides; support CAI/ICW/IMI/LMS.
• Maintain IMI project tracking and sync training requirements with development efforts.
• Provide operational support for AFI 33-115 and DoD cyberspace guidance.
• Track tickets and provide status updates when requested.
• Oversee LMS/IMI delivery systems; manage LMS accounts and permissions.
• Manage JV/record tools like JMPS/GPL/ArcGIS/ELT; support classroom needs.
