Job summary

The American Federation of Musicians and Employers' Pension Fund is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and support its IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance operations across servers, networks, and cloud services.

You will work with the Director on projects, manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and security controls, and provide advanced end-user support for a hybrid workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Expert level certifications in related technology, systems, applications and software
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing a Windows server environment.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in Vmware and VSphere.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Demonstrates the ability to produce accurate technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Network & Infrastructure Administration: Manage and maintain a 100+ node network, including servers, cybersecurity, backups, telecommunications, remote access, and core infrastructure services.
• Work closely with the Director to establish new projects, and ongoing progress of projects in process.
• Overall maintenance of the data center in terms of cleanliness, neatness, and safety needs.
• Hardware and Software installation, and maintenance.
• Work closely with vendors/contractors in the confirmation and maintenance of the Checkpoint Firewall and switches.
• External (VPN) client and desktop support.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and other core infrastructure services.
