Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a System Administrator to support the STARS Lab, ensuring secure, reliable lab infrastructure for missile defense radar systems. You will manage Linux and Windows environments, document configurations, and help maintain cyber-security compliance while collaborating with a skilled team.

The role requires DoD clearance, extensive system administration experience, DoD 8570 CE and Security+ certifications, and a proactive approach to problem solving in

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred, or an associate degree with equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of systems administration experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 CE certification required and maintained.
• CompTIA Security+ certification required.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows OS.
• Experience with software installations and license maintenance.
• Experience with networking and configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Strong communication and teamwork; proficient with MS Office and Visio.
• DoD SECRET clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform network system administration to support daily operation and STARS infrastructure.
• Manage lab infrastructure environments (Linux/Windows, storage, licenses, cyber-security).
• Support domain controllers, group policy, Active Directory for Linux and Windows.
• Document configurations to meet CM and cyber-security requirements.
• Opportunity to learn and support HWIL system administration in missile defense labs.
