Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide advanced technical leadership for enterprise servers and datacenter environments. The role supports Windows and Linux, virtualization, storage, backup and security initiatives, and acts as SME for shared services datacenter projects.

You will mentor junior admins, lead modernization efforts, perform patching and capacity planning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining clear documentation and operations.

Qualifications

• At least an Associate's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of enterprise/datacenter IT experience.
• Experience with Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with VMware virtualization.
• Experience with backup/recovery and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of DCIM tools and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level system administration for enterprise servers and datacenter environments.
• Design, optimize, and maintain enterprise platforms supporting mission-critical operations.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware) and enterprise storage solutions.
• Lead server modernization initiatives and tech refresh efforts.
• Perform backup and recovery operations for DOC.
• Patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Provide Tier II/III escalation support and guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain documentation.
• Mentor junior system administrators.
