Job summary

Fortis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator in Austin, TX to maintain and secure our IT infrastructure, spanning on-premises and cloud services.

You will manage Active Directory, DNS, certificates, licensing, and group policy, and support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. The role requires 5+ years in systems administration, strong Azure and networking knowledge, scripting ability, and a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a systems administration role.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, Active Directory, networking, and security.
• Experience with scripting languages and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of learning large, complex systems in a short time frame.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer core IT systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Administer on-premises Active Directory, DNS, certificates, licensing, and group policy.
• Administer Azure Infrastructure Governance, Network Stack, Entra/PIM, InTune, Sentinel SIEM, Resource Groups, and Virtual Networking.
• Develop deployment plans for patches, upgrades, or full applications.
• Manage enterprise applications including Document management, Web-based apps, Intranet, and Microsoft 365/Google Workspace.
• Create and maintain network and data flow diagrams and system architecture.
• Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and develop custom solutions.
• Assist other duties to achieve team objectives.
