Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an IT Engineer with Microsoft Enterprise Systems Administrator experience to support a federal contract. You will manage Windows/Linux environments, provide Tier 2 incident resolution, and engage with multiple security enclaves in hybrid setups across CONUS/OCONUS.

Responsibilities include system administration, application troubleshooting, remote end-user support, and collaboration on special projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in IT engineering or administration.
• Active Directory Administration and network services knowledge.
• Experience with Linux and Windows in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL foundations.
• Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph, ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking an IT Engineer with Microsoft Enterprise Systems Administrator experience to join our team in support of a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. Primary responsibilities include providing Tier 2 support of maintaining multiple large Enterprise environment that spans CONUS and OCONUS boundaries. The supporting infrastructure includes multiple Microsoft based networks spanning multiple security enclaves within a hybrid (Windows & RHEL) environments.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• System Administrative duties to include management of Windows and Linux workstations on EVDI and physical
• Troubleshooting application functionality, crash and performance
• Investigate user performance and work with external teams to improve user experience
• Assist customers with Tier2 incident resolution for Linux and windows applications.
• Provide remote end user desktop support
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions. Responds to escalated service desk/team requests.
• Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals; work well within small and large team environments.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Willingness to provide initial triage, response, and notifications for incidents

Required/Desired Skills:

Candidates should have 4-7 years related experience and knowledge/understanding of:

• Active Directory Administration
• DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP
• Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016,
• Application Troubleshooting such as Outlook, Excel, Word, JAVA, Internet Explorer
• Linux Operating system
• Understanding of Service Now, NETS or other ticketing process
• ITIL v3 or higher

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
