Job summary

Fuse Eng is seeking a Linux Administrator to join a 7–9 person mixed Contractor/Civilian SA team supporting 3rd party systems. You will monitor, review emails, and jump into JIRA tickets for mission-critical updates, then act on issues with the team.

The role centers on Linux hard boxes/VMs, authentication, DNS, and home directories, with requirements for TS SCI w/ polygraph. Virtualization, networking, and container/cloud experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux systems with STIG compliance.
• Strong virtualization experience (VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
• Solid IP networking and firewall experience.
• Some exposure to containers and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux systems and ensure security and compliance.
• Triage and resolve Jira tickets for mission-critical updates.
• Collaborate with a mixed Contractor/Civilian team on backend environment.

You will work on a 7–9-person mixed Contractor/Civilian SA team supporting 3rd party systems.

• All supported systems are Linux hard boxes or VM’s.
• You will come in look at your monitoring, catch up on emails and your team Skype chat room for mission critical updates and hot issues then go to JIRA and start working off tickets.
• The team supports a backend environment with Mission and Operations users and desktops so authentication, DNS, share drives and home directories.

Required Skills

• LINUX Administration.
• Solid experience with STE/STN, DISA STIG compliance work on Linux systems.
• Virtualization (VMWare, RH KVM, Proxmox ….)
• Ip networking and Firewall exp.
• Some experience with Containers/Cloud environments.

Desired Skills

• Automation tools (Ansible, salt ..).
• Scripting (bash, python, perl ..).
• Storage Management solutions / arrays (NetApp, Isilon ….)
• Hyper Converged Infrastructure exp (Harvester, Nutanix, Cisco HyperFlex…)
